Consent logs
The record. Every decision a visitor made, what they saw when they made it, and the export that proves it.
What gets recorded, and when
An entry per decision, on a verified domain with a published banner. Nothing is recorded before that.
A row is written when a visitor presses Accept all, Reject all or Save on a published banner. It holds the categories granted, which button was pressed, the country, the device type, the banner language and version, the timestamp, and a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself.
Banner impressions are counted separately and are what the consent rate on the Dashboard divides by. Reopening the banner from the preferences control is not a new impression; changing a choice there is a new decision.
A decision is valid for 12 months; after that the visitor is asked again.
Finding a decision
Filter by domain, country, device, choice and status, or search; open a row for the full receipt.
The filters along the top narrow the list: Domain, Country, Device, Choice (accepted, rejected or custom) and Status (valid or expired). Search matches the hashed identifier, so a visitor who sends you their receipt can be found. Filters live in the address bar, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared with a colleague.
Open any row for the full receipt: every field, and the banner version it was made under.
Exporting
CSV for a spreadsheet or an auditor, PDF for a person. Exports respect the filters you have set.
Export as CSV downloads the rows matching the current filters, up to 50,000 at a time; Export all records ignores the filters. Export as PDF produces a readable report of the same. Exporting needs the export permission, which viewers do not have.
