Getting started

What CMPStack does, the four steps from an empty workspace to a live banner, and a map of where everything is.

What CMPStack does

A consent banner that actually blocks trackers, plus the record that proves it.

CMPStack puts a consent banner on your website, holds third-party scripts back until a visitor allows their category, tells Google’s tags what was decided through Consent Mode v2, and keeps a record of every decision that you can export for an audit. All of that comes from one script tag on the site; everything about the banner is configured here and served from our CDN.

The panel has five parts: Domains (the sites you protect), Banner Management (how the banner looks and behaves), Consent Logs (what visitors decided), Compliance (whether the banner would pass an audit), and Integrations (getting decisions into other systems). Users and Workspace are for the people and the account.

Your first banner in four steps

Add a domain, install the tag, verify, publish. Nothing shows on the site until all four are done.

  1. Domains → Add domain. Type the hostname, choose how you will install the tag (script tag, WordPress plugin, Google Tag Manager or Shopify), and a verification method.
  2. Press Install tag on the domain’s row. You get the Site ID and the exact steps for the install route you chose. Put the tag on the site.
  3. Press Verify. The quickest method is the tag itself: once it is on the site, verification finds it there.
  4. Banner Management, open the domain’s banner, make it yours, press Publish. From that moment the site shows it.
